Alicia works hard and is trying hard to follow her dream of being a designer. She designs lingerie for Love Lace lingerie store.
Alicia is a curvy girl and her designs are made for every body type. I LOVED her feelings on lingerie that they make the woman more
self confident, sexy, and that she can share this with someone if she wants to or not. Killian (OMG my new favorite name for a bad boy)
is a fixer, he goes into a company that is on the brink of destruction and pulls it back up to its potential. When Killian is asked by a friend to find out what is going on at Love Lace and fix it he does. His first order of business is to find out about Grace the woman in charge. Grace is mean spiteful and will not change the designs she chooses to run. Alicia feels that Grace has no idea what a good design is. When Grace's secretary accidentally sends the wrong designs to Killian and then sends the designs that she approved immediately after that is when Killian knows something is up. When Killian fires Grace and finds out that Alicia was the one behind the better designs he starts working with her and using her designs to bring the business back up. Oh and Killian wants Alicia with a passion. This book was amazing. I LOVED the confidence that Alicia has about her body. The scene of the photo shoot was wonderful. This book is Fun, Sexy, HOT HOT HOT and has a great epilogue as well. I cannot tell you how much I LOVED this book
This might be the second romance book that I have read by Mr. Carter Blake and I still enjoyed it. Mr. Blake does write an interesting story even though I did wish it was a little bit longer with some good strong characters. The story does flow but as soon as I got into the story it ended before I felt there was a good resolve to everything. Still I enjoyed reading it and the characters were pretty developed. Well there is that and the cover is pretty hot. To me it’s just amazing that a male author can pick a hot cover for a romance book and this one does reflect the story so that was a job well done too.
Alicia a lingerie designer works for love lace also the meanest stick in the mud boss Cynthia who keeps the same design on lingerie insisting on using spandex and granny panties. Alicia balks at the designs and while trying to defy Cynthia ends up being fired by her. Alicia is a little down but then notices Cynthia’s hot handsome boss Killian Scott comes to the office and promptly fires Cynthia instead. Alicia can’t help but be happy in meeting Killian she has an instant attraction to him. Killian also can’t help but notice Alicia and be attracted to her as well but he has a strict rule to not form a sexual relationship with people he works with. Will Killian be able to keep his distance from Alicia or will he succumb to an illicit office romance with Alicia.
I really did like Alicia a real woman with curves that knew her body and wasn’t scared of showing it off. Alicia had confidence was smart, savvy and despite her attraction to a billionaire was willing to stand on her own two feet not wanting to be a gold digger. I admired and cheered her on she really deserved everything she got even though Killian helped. Killian wasn’t a bad guy sure he was a bit gruff around the edges commanding and played a good alpha male. I just didn’t like how he treated Alicia many times. Why does he ignore her so much and then tries to make up for it. Sure he whisks her away to an island paradise but his behavior really annoyed me which made me hard to connect with him or even trust him. I did think the issue of Alicia’s ex-boyfriend Nick was resolved too quickly and even now I wonder if he still did what he said he would. I also hoped Charlotte would find her happily ever after too. I just wanted the story to go on a little bit. Still I enjoyed the book and will read another by Mr. Blake!
This is a really good romance story about hot man and survey woman and sex. This story is a very good romance, get it you won't be sorry
